Microbiome health company Biome Australia Limited (ASX: BIO) (‘Biome’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to provide its Appendix 4C and Activity Report for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (“Q4 FY26”), closing a record year for both trading and financial performance for the Company. Biome delivered record annual sales revenue in FY26. June 2026 was also the first month in which consumer sell-through of Activated Probiotics surpassed 100,000 units, a Company first. Annual sales revenue of $23.9m for FY26 is an increase of 30% on FY25 ($18.4m). This growth was driven by continued practitioner and pharmacy demand for the Activated Probiotics and Activated Therapeutics ranges, across both Biome’s domestic and international markets. During the quarter, Biome received confirmation that Biome Daily is now the number one probiotic product in Australian pharmacy, by both units and dollar value.2 This is a significant milestone for the Company’s flagship product. It also points to the opportunity still ahead both domestically and internationally. The rest of the Activated Probiotics and Activated Therapeutics range has real room to grow from an already strong base. Full financial detail for the year, including profitability and margin, will be provided with Biome’s audited full-year results. Cash receipts from customers were $5.9m in Q4 FY26, up $1.1m on Q3 FY26 and $2.2m (61%) against Q4 FY25. This reflects both the overall growth in trading and continued discipline in working capital management. In Q4, the Company delivered a net operating cash inflow of $708k and closed Q4 FY26 with $3.6m in cash, an increase of $0.2m from the previous quarter and $0.8m, pcp. Biome also continued to strengthen its balance sheet during the quarter, reducing drawn debt by $1.0m relative to pcp, maintaining $1.9m at 30 June 2026 (against total NAB facilities of $5.0m), leaving $3.1m of facility headroom available. This was driven by strong operating cash generation and disciplined capital management. It gives Biome substantial flexibility to fund continued growth, particularly as we commence onshore manufacturing from Q1 FY27. During the quarter, Biome continued to invest in its proprietary intellectual property. Biome lodged a patent application for BMB18, its first wholly proprietary probiotic strain, and expanded the BMB18 human clinical trial 2 Source: IQVIA Pharmacy Scan data, FY26. from a single site to a multi-centre international program. The trial is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study enrolling 240 participants. Harokopio University of Athens has joined as Biome’s first international centre alongside La Trobe University in Melbourne, with recruitment commenced at both sites during the quarter. BMB18 is expected to further differentiate the Activated Probiotics range as it progresses through clinical evaluation. During the quarter, Biome signed a binding commercial manufacturing agreement with Specialty Probiotics Australia (SPA) to progressively bring production of its Activated Probiotics range onshore, a cornerstone of the Company’s Vision 27 strategy. The agreement requires no capital investment from Biome, with the first commercial batch targeted for September 2026 and the balance of the range transitioning over approximately 18 months. Onshore production is expected to deliver a structural improvement in cost of goods sold from the first commercial batch and to release working capital through lower inventory and the removal of extended international freight lead times, while adding an Australian-made advantage across the Company’s export markets. Biome will retain its European supply partnerships to service EU markets, providing further supply-chain diversification. Looking ahead, Biome expects 1H FY27 to be its highest revenue-generating half-year on record, supported by a number of new product launches across the Activated Probiotics range and continued growth in the Company’s key international markets. Biome Australia Managing Director and Founder Blair Vega Norfolk said: “Q4 FY26 was a landmark quarter for Biome, capping off our strongest year yet. Record annual revenue, record consumer sell-through, and the momentum in our practitioner-led model all reflect the increasing scale of the business. We were also thrilled to learn that Biome Daily is now the number one probiotic product in Australian pharmacy, in both units and dollars. It is a proud moment, and only part of the story, with significant opportunity still ahead across the rest of the range. We reduced debt and grew cash through the year while continuing to invest for growth, demonstrating that our growth remains highly capital efficient. Alongside this, we invested in Biome’s long-term competitive position. We signed our first onshore manufacturing agreement with SPA and expanded the BMB18 clinical trial to its first international centre in Athens, with
Page 4
recruitment now underway at both sites. With a number of new product launches planned and our international markets continuing to build momentum, we expect 1H FY27 to be our highest revenue-generating half yet.” Quarterly Financial Update Biome recorded a net operating cash inflow of $708k for Q4 FY26, a significant improvement on both Q3 FY26 (net operating cash outflow of $1,235k) and pcp (net operating cash outflow of $485k). This result was underpinned by strong cash receipts from customers of $5,942k for the quarter, which grew faster than the corresponding growth in operating payments. The Company maintained a disciplined approach to operating expenditure throughout the quarter, closely managing its cost base while continuing to hold adequate safety stock to protect forecast growth levels in our traditionally highest quarter (FY Q1), against a backdrop of variable economic conditions and heightened international logistics and freight challenges. This approach reflects Biome’s ongoing focus on working capital efficiency and positions the Company well ahead of the planned commencement of onshore manufacturing from Q1 FY27, which is expected to progressively reduce the Company’s reliance on extended offshore supply chains and the associated inventory buffers. Payments for inventory and fulfilment were $2,157k for the quarter. On a cash basis for the quarter, direct brand marketing investment totalled $799k. As a function of sales and in operating expense terms, direct brand marketing represented approximately 10.5% for Q4 FY26 and 7.5% for FY26. Staff costs on a cash basis were $1,736k, consistent with the Company's standard people-related expenditure, including sales incentives and bonus payments, in line with performance against targets. Administration and corporate cash expenditure of $328k for the quarter reflect overheads including corporate governance, compliance, insurance and professional services costs incurred in the normal course of operations, together with costs that are structural to Biome's practitioner-led distribution model. Payments for property, plant and equipment of $113k related primarily to the fit-out of Biome's new auditorium space, which will support practitioner
Page 5
education seminars as part of the Company's practitioner-led engagement model. Research and development payments were $146k, consistent with Biome’s continued investment in clinical research. Investing activities in the quarter included $128k in payments for intellectual property, including costs associated with the BMB18 patent application and clinical trial, and $113k in payments for property, plant and equipment. The Company continued to reduce net debt during the quarter, with $223k of net loan repayments, reducing total drawn debt to $1.9m at 30 June 2026 (30 June 2025: $2.9m), against total available NAB facilities of $5.0m. The amount paid to Directors of the Company during the quarter was $288,872 in fees, salaries and superannuation payments, as follows: ● Executive Director $219,500 ● Non-Executive Directors $69,372 –ENDS– Approved for release by the Biome Australia board of directors.
