Trading during the quarter ended 31 March 2021 at the Reef Hotel Casino The operator of the Reef Hotel Casino , Casinos Austria International ( Cairns ) Pty Ltd , has reported profitable trading for the quarter resulting in positive rental income for the Trust . The Reef Hotel Casino continues to operate by reference to a site specific COVID Safe Plan approved by Queensland Health . This plan includes operational restrictions including cap on capacity , social distancing measures , contract tracing measures and COVID safe cleaning . This plan has been amended over time as restrictions change . Local and domestic markets have held up well during this quarter . International borders remain closed . Update on first quarter trading results ( 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021 ) for Reef Casino Trust The Trust provides an update as follows . Distributable Profit * 1st Quarter 2021 : Comment Good rental income from Reef Hotel Casino $ 2,880,000 profit Compared to : Q1 2020 : $ 360,000 loss Q1 2019 : $ 550,000 profit Period leading up to closure of Reef Hotel Casino on 23 March 2020 due to COVID - 19 Unusual inclement weather in Far North Queensland * Distributable profit is a non - IFRS measure that is determined in accordance with the Trust Constitution and used as the basis for determining distributions to unitholders . Distributable profit is determined as net profit for the period , adding back distributions to unitholders which have been treated as finance costs in accordance with IFRS . The distributable profit has not been audited .
