( " Lightspeed " or the " Company " ) ( TSX : LSPD ) ( NYSE : LSPD ) , the one - stop commerce platform for merchants around the world to simplify , scale and create exceptional customer experiences , today announced financial results for the three - month period ended June 30 , 2021 . ● First Quarter Financial Highlights ( All comparisons are relative to the three - month period ended June 30 , 2020 unless otherwise stated ) : Total revenue of $ 115.9 million , an increase of 220 % Recurring subscription revenue of $ 49.9 million , an increase of 115 % Transaction - based revenue of $ 56.5 million , an increase of 453 % Net Loss of ( $ 49.3 ) million as compared to a net loss of ( $ 20.1 ) million . After adjusting for certain non - cash and non - recurring items such as acquisition - related costs and stock based compensation , Adjusted Net Loss [ 1 ] was ( $ 6.9 ) million , or ( $ 0.05 ) per share [ 1 ] , an improvement to ( 6.0 % ) of revenue from ( 7.5 % ) .
