The system is designed as a horizontal carousel due to the low ceiling heights and the different sized containers. In order to retrieve material without personnel during the night shift, they would like to have a fully automated system.For the storage of surgical instruments, VLMs should be designed to combine sterilization and the pre-operative zone. Two independent devices should be available to ensure redundancy.
