RELEVANT EVENTS Hybrid Bond Issuances in Chile and the US – On August 29, 2025, CMPC issued Chile’s first Sustainable Hybrid Corporate Bond (Green and Social), for UF 10 million (US$405 million), maturing in 2057 with an effective placement rate of 4.19%. The issuance was nearly twice oversubscribed, reflecting strong investor demand. Then, on September 4, CMPC issued a US$600 million Sustainable Hybrid Bond in the United States, with a 32.25-year maturity and an effective rate of 6.704%, representing a 283.4 basis point spread over the U.S. Treasury rate. Both instruments include the typical features of hybrid bonds — subordination to senior debt, discretionary interest deferral, and no redemption before year seven — leading rating agencies to consider 50% of their notional value as equity until the first call date. Proceeds of approximately US$1 billion will be used to refinance debt, fund investments, and support other corporate purposes under CMPC’s Sustainable Finance Framework.
