Hua Hong Semiconductor Limited ( SEHK : 1347 ) ( the “ Company ” ) , a global , leading pure - play foundry , today announced its consolidated operational results for the quarter ending September 30 , 2021 . Third Quarter 2021 Highlights ( Unaudited ) ■ Revenue reached another new high of US $ 451.5 million , up 78.5 % year over year and 30.4 % above the previous quarter . ■ Gross margin was 27.1 % , 2.9 percentage points over 3Q 2020 and 2.3 percentage points above 2Q 2021 . Net profit was US $ 35.6 million , 3,132.1 % over 3Q 2020 and 4.2 % below 2Q 2021 due to tax on a one - off intercompany transaction . ■ Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was US $ 50.8 million , 187.1 % over 3Q 2020 and 15.3 % above 2Q 2021 . ■ Basic earnings per share was US $ 0.039 , US $ 0.025 over 3Q 2020 and US $ 0.005 above 2Q 2021 . ■ ROE ( annualized ) was 7.6 % , 4.4 percentage points over 3Q 2020 and 0.8 percentage point above 2Q 2021 .
