RESULTS The Group's underlying profit attributable to the Company's shareholders for the six months ended 31 December 2020 , excluding the effect of fair - value changes on investment properties , amounted to HK $ 17,482 million , compared to HK $ 13,422 million for the corresponding period last year . The increase was mainly due to the fact that the majority of the current financial year's development projects for sale in Hong Kong were completed in the first half of the year . Underlying earnings per share were HK $ 6.03 , compared to HK $ 4.63 for the same period last year . Reported profit and reported earnings per share attributable to the Company's shareholders were HK $ 13,578 million and HK $ 4.69 respectively , compared to HK $ 15,419 million and HK $ 5.32 for the corresponding period last year . The reported profit for the period included a decrease in fair value of investment properties net of deferred taxation and non - controlling interests of HK $ 3,833 million , compared to an increase of HK $ 2,046 million for the same period last year . DIVIDEND The directors have declared an interim dividend payment of HK $ 1.25 per share for the six months ended 31 December 2020 , the same as the corresponding period last year . The dividend will be payable on 18 March 2021 . - 1 -
