For the first half of 2026 , the Group recorded a profit attributable to owners of the Company of HK $ 6,649 million , representing a decrease of HK $ 1,223 million or 15.5 % from the profit attributable to owners of the Company of HK $ 7,872 million for the first half of 2025. Basic earnings per share amounted to HK $ 1.28 . The Board has resolved to declare an interim dividend of HK $ 0.321 per share for 2026. The interim dividend payout ratio was 25.0 % , representing a year- on - year increase of 1.6 percentage points . For the first half of 2026 , the core business profit attributable to owners of the Company was HK $ 6,972 million , representing a decrease of HK $ 1,306 million or 15.8 % from HK $ 8,278 million in the first half of 2025 . The core business profit from renewable energy business attributable to owners of the Company was HK $ 3,907 million , representing a decrease of HK $ 1,730 million or 30.7 % from HK $ 5,637 million in the first half of 2025 . The core business profit from thermal power business attributable to owners of the Company was HK $ 3,065 million , representing an increase of HK $ 424 million or 16.1 % from HK $ 2,641 million in the first half of 2025. Of which , the core business profit from the pure thermal power business excluding the coal production business attributable to owners of the Company was HK $ 2,797 million , representing an increase of HK $ 9 million or 0.3 % from HK $ 2,788 million in the first half of 2025 . 1
