[ ] 05 KPI GREEN ENERGY LIMITED | Q 1 F Y2 7 India’s Renewable Sector: A Structural Upcycle Structural demand tailwinds and policy reforms are accelerating renewable energy deployment. Demand Tailwinds Viksit Bharat 2047 $30 Trillion economy vision; urbanisation, manufacturing and EVs powering long-run consumption Low Per-Capita Use ~1,460 kWh per capita – significantly lower in comparison to the global average; long runway of demand headroom Policy & Structural Enablers RTC & FDRE Tenders: Solar + Wind + Storage: RTC & FDRE tenders being prioritized by MNRE. BESS Viability-Gap Funding: ₹18L/MWh support for 30 GWh, thereby facilitating RTC & FDRE power. Huge Pipeline: 500 GW by 2030, backed by a ~40 GW per annum trajectory. Must-Run Status for RE: RE cannot be curtailed for commercial reasons - guaranteed dispatch & offtake PM Surya Sarovar Yojana: Newly approved ₹5,070 Cr scheme for 5 GW Floating Solar with 2-hr storage over FY 2027-31. RPO / RCO Mandate: Binding RE targets rising from 35.95% in FY27 ~43.33% by FY30 for DISCOMs & large consumers — a guaranteed & escalating demand floor. Rising Power Demand Peak demand at an all-time high of 271 GW (May 2026); projected to reach ~345 GW by 2030 Data Centers & RTC Data centres driving round- the-clock renewable demand — the largest new offtake category Energy Security Need to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels, mitigating supply risks and strengthening long-term energy security. Green Hydrogen National mission targets 5 MMT/yr by 2030, needing ~125 GW of dedicated RE INDUSTRY OVERVIEW INDUSTRY OVERVIEW ISTS Charges Waiver for RE: Commissioning before 2028 locks in 25-year ISTS waivers — a durable transmission-cost edge GST Cut 12% → 5%: on RE equipment (Sep 2025) - lowers LCOE – improved project economics Sources: MNRE, CEA, Ministry of Power, NITI Aayog, CERC, BEE
