[Production & Supply Capacity] ・ The impact of supply constraints, including hydrogen shortages initially anticipated, was mitigated through initiatives to reduce consumption and effective inventory utilization. ・ Productivity improvements continued at the new domestic optical cable plant. ・ Supply capacity was strengthened through external procurement of optical fiber from multiple suppliers. Based on strong order intake and improved visibility of large optical component projects, we have raised both our first - half and full - year forecasts. Assumptions Behind the Forecast (Opportunities and Risks) Our Response ・Exchange Rate and Sensitivity ・Exchange rate assumption for FY2026 Q2 onward: ¥160 / USD. ・Sensitivity to USD/JPY: A ¥1 change in the exchange rate impacts Operating Profit by approximately ¥2.7 billion. ・Tariffs ・Included an IEEPA tariff refund of ¥6.2 billion in the first-half forecast. ・Included the impact of new tariffs imposed under Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act. ・Hydrogen Supply ・The impact on performance is expected to be mitigated compared with the assumptions announced on June 18, supported by reduced hydrogen consumption, diversified sourcing, and the acceleration of certain in-house production activities. ・New Data Center Projects Outside the U.S. ・The forecast announced on June 18 reflected orders secured for the first half of FY2026. ・We have also incorporated large projects expected to be awarded in the second half, as visibility has improved.
