NOK Corporation (7240): Summary of Consolidated Financial Results for the Three Months Ended June 30, 2026 - 2 - 1. Qualitative Information on the Consolidated Operating Results for the Three Months Ended June 30, 2026 (1) Financial Position and Operating Results For the first three months of the current consolidated fiscal year, the Group posted the following operating results: n et sales totaled 181,243 million yen (up 5.5% year on year); operating income was 7,650 million yen (up 9.3% year on year); ordinary income ended at 13,365 million yen (up 54.9% year on year), resulting in 9,075 million yen in profit attributable to owners of the parent (up 58.4% year on year). Operating income increased mainly due to an increase in net sales. Ordinary income and net income attributable to owners of the parent increased mainly due to an increase in operating income and the recording of foreign exchange gains in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The business overview for each business segment is as follows. Effective from the first quarter of the current fiscal year, certain businesses were transferred across segments. The following comparison of the same quarter of the previous year is based on the figures reclassified to the new segment classification. <Seal business> Net sales amounted to 98,464 million yen (up 7.8% year on year) and operating income was 9,644 million yen (up 47.5% year on year). Sales for automobile applications decreased slightly due to a decrease in production of Japanese automobiles. Sales f or general industrial machinery applications increased mainly due to an increase in demand for construction machinery in Japan and China. Overall segment net sales increased due to an increase in sales for general industrial machinery applications and the impact of foreign exchange rates. Despite an increase in fixed costs such as personnel expenses, operating income increased mainly due to an increase in net sales and the promotion of price revision activities such as passing on cost increases to selling prices. <Electronic product business> Net sales totaled 81,097 million yen (up 11.2% year on year) and operating loss was 2,230 million yen (compared to an operating loss of 121 million yen in the same period of the previous fiscal year). Net sales increased due to the impact of foreign exchange increases and an increase in sales excluding the component cost. Looking at sales by application excluding these factors, sales for smartphones, automotive batteries, and hard disk drives increased. Despite an increase in net sales, operating loss increased mainly due to an increase in fixed cost s such as personnel expenses and the impact of the appreciation of local currencies against the U.S. dollar at Asian sites. <Other businesses> Net sales amounted to 1,681 million yen (down 77.8% year on year) and operating income was 226 million yen (down 61.0% year on year). Total assets as of June 30, 2026 stood at 966,457 million yen, an increase of 14,806 million yen compared with March 31, 2026. This was mainly due to an increase in inventories and an increase in investment securities due to a rise in the market value of shares held. Total liabilities as of June 30, 2026 amounted to 285,182 million yen, an increase of 3,802 million yen compared with March 31, 2026. This was mainly due to an increase in short-term loans payable. Net assets totaled 681,275 million yen, an increase of 11,004 million yen compared with March 31, 2026. Consequently, the ratio of shareholders’ equity to total assets stood at 65.7%. This was mainly due to the recording of profit attributable to owners of the parent and an increase in valuation difference on investment securities due to the rise in market value of shares held, while there was a dividend payment. (2) Consolidated Financial Forecasts and Other Prospects for the Future There have been no changes to the financial projections announced on May 13 , 2026.
