Business Environment (1) In the first half, demand in the information and telecommunications, semiconductor, and electronics markets remained solid, including capital investment. Particularly, strong demand related to data centers led to increased shipments by the Company. Although solid demand continued in the second half, certain products were affected by the announcement of uniform tariffsby the United States. However, demand had already recovered in the fourth quarter, and there was no significant impact. (2) Precious metal market prices trended upward throughout the year, and the Yen also remained weaker against the U.S. Dollarthan the planned level, providing a tailwind. (3) In the second half, geopolitical risks, including heightened tensions in the Middle East, were a concern, but no impact materialized. 2. Business Performance (1) Net sales and all profit items reached record highs. Net sales exceeded ¥100.0 billion for the first time, reaching ¥100.1 billion. This represented an increase of ¥42.7 billion from the previous year, while gross profit amounted to ¥30.2 billion, an increase of ¥16.0 billion year on year. (2) By segment, all segments exceeded the previous year’s result. Overall performance was driven particularly by the Electronics segment, where crucibles for medical equipment and optical cable isolators performed strongly, and by the Thin Film segment, where HDD target materials were strong. In the Fine Chemicals and Recycling segment, temporary expenses were incurred in connection with the review of the collection and refining system and related assets. 3. Shareholder returns The annual dividend for the fiscal year 2026 is ¥165 per share, an increase of ¥69 from the previous year. For the next fiscal year (59th fiscal period), the Company plans to pay an annual dividend of ¥180 per share.

Although inventory at the end of June 2026 increased year on year, this was mainly due to higher market prices (FMBI average annual price: approximately +29% for iridium and approximately +147% for ruthenium). Short-term borrowings were repaid to reduce interest expenses, supported by improved cash flow.
