This financial summary report contains forward-looking statements regarding estimations, forecasts, targets and plans in relation to the results of operations, financial conditions and other overall management of the company and/or the group as a whole (the “forward-looking statements”). The forward-looking statements are made based upon, among other things, the company’s current estimations, perceptions and evaluations. In addition, in order for the company to adopt such estimations, forecasts, targets and plans regarding future events, certain assumptions have been made. Accordingly, due to various risks and uncertainties, the statements and assumptions are inherently not guarantees of future performance, may be considered differently from alternative perspectives and may result in material differences from the actual result. For the main factors that may affect the current forecasts, please see Consolidated Summary Report, Annual Securities Report, Disclosure Book, Annual Report, and other current disclosures that the company has announced. 2. The financial information included in this financial summary report is prepared and presented in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in Japan (“Japanese GAAP” ). Differences exist between Japanese GAAP and the accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (“U.S. GAAP”) in certain material respects. Such differences have resulted in the past, and are expected to continue to result for this period and future periods, in amounts for certain financial statement line items under U.S. GAAP to differ significantly from the amounts under Japanese GAAP. For example, differences in consolidation basis or accounting for business combinations, including but not limited to amortization and impairment of goodwill, could result in significant differences in our reported financial results between Japanese GAAP and U.S. GAAP. Readers should consult their own professional advisors for an understanding of the differences between Japanese GAAP and U.S. GAAP and how those differences might affect our reported financial results. To date, we have published U.S. GAAP financial results only on a semiannual and annual basis, and currently do not expect to publish U.S. GAAP financial results for the period reported in this financial summary report.

(8) Additional Information (Information wh ich is relev ant to th e u nderstanding o f th e read ers o f th e co nsolidated fin ancial statemen tsas reg arding th e calculation of allowance for credit losses) The p rocess of calculating the allowance for credit losses for MUFG Ban k, L td. ("the Bank") and its d omestic consolidated subsidiaries, o ur p rincipal d omestic co nsolidated b anking su bsidiaries, in volves v arious estimates su ch as d etermination o f borrower credit ratings which are b ased on evaluation and classification of borrowers' debt-service capacity, assessment of the value of collateral provided by borrowers, estimation of future cash flo ws when applying the cash flo w estimation method, and adjustments for future loss projections and other factors to the loss rates calculated based on historical credit loss experience. Among th ese, in ternal cred it ratin gs are assig ned to co unterparties b ased o n q ualitative facto rs su ch as th e cu rrent an d expected fu ture b usiness en vironment o f th e in dustry to wh ich th ey b elong as well as th eir man agement an d fu nding risk s in addition to q uantitative financial evaluations through an an alysis of their financial results. In p articular, those determination of internal credit ratings for these counterparties may b e highly dependent on our assessment of the prospects of improvements in their operating results and their ability to continue as going concerns. When calculating allowance for credit losses, the Bank, o ur p rincipal consolidated domestic banking subsidiary, d etermines loss rates primarily by calculating a rate o f loss based on a h istorical average of the credit loss rate or a h istorical average of the default p robability d erived fro m actu al cred it lo ss ex perience o r actu al b ankruptcy ex perience an d mak ing n ecessary adjustments based on future projections and other factors. The Bank makes such adjustments to th e loss rates calcu lated based on historical loss experience, taking into account future projections an d o ther facto rs, esp ecially considering th e u ncertain b usiness en vironment arising fro m p otential ch anges in th e geopolitical environment, in cluding th e situ ation in th e Mid dle E ast. T hese ad justments are imp lemented mad e wh en d eemed necessary, for example, by considering any additional expected loss amount not captured by the loss rates calcu lated based on historical loss experience. The amount of impact of these adjustments as o f June 30, 2026 is ¥28,44 6 million (¥24,357 million as of March 31, 2026). In addition, certain o verseas subsidiaries which apply IFRS reco gnize allowance for credit losses in acco rdance with IFRS9 “Financial In struments.” At each rep orting d ate, th ese su bsidiaries assess wh ether th e cred it risk o n a fin ancial asset h as increased significantly since initial recognition, and if th e credit risk h as not increased significantly since initial recognition, the subsidiaries measure the allowance for credit losses for the financial asset at an amo unt equal to th e 1 2-month expected credit loss. On the other hand, if the credit risk on a financial asset has increased significantly since initial recognition, the subsidiaries measure the allowance for credit losses for the financial asset at an amo unt equal to th e lifetime ex pected credit loss. Expected credit lo sses are calcu lated u sing a q uantitative mo del th at reflects eco nomic fo recast scen arios b ased o n macro economic variables. T he calcu lation p rocess in cludes d etermination o f macro economic v ariables u sed in mu ltiple eco nomic fo recast scenarios an d th e weig htings ap plied to each eco nomic fo recast scen ario. E xpected cred it lo sses are ad justed fo r q ualitative factors to compensate for expected credit losses that are not reflected in a q uantitative model. Significant assumptions used in o ur calculation of allowance for credit losses, including those described above, are su bject to uncertainty.
