14Copyright 2025 Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation All Rights Reserved. H1 FY2025 Consolidated Results Ⅱ. FY2025 Business Forecast The Impact of U.S. New Government (Full -year ) The situation surrounding the logistics industry Ocean freight: ・U.S.-bound ocean freight rates experienced a temporary spike in the H1 but declined thereafter. ・Compared to the previous year, Q2 recorded sharper decline than Q1, and stagnation is expected in the H2. Pharmaceutical Companies: ・Due to U.S. reshoring policies(bringing manufacturing back domestically), pharmaceutical companies have announced investments in manufacturing sites and research facilities within the U.S.( Merck, Roche, Novartis, etc.) . ・It is necessary to closely observe trends in supply chain restructuring within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly those driven by drug price revisions. Impact on Our Performance (Current Status) ・Not significant in Q1, but became evident from Q2 onward, particularly in U.S. operations. ・The increase in tariffs has driven cost-reduction initiatives within the U.S., and heightened price competition is anticipated in the future.
