( “ Vodafone Qatar " or the " Company " ) announced its financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2021 . Key H1 2021 highlights compared to H1 2020 Total Revenue increased by 8.5 % to QR 1.16 billion Service Revenue increased by 7.8 % to QR 1.08 billion EBITDA increased by 21.1 % to QR 472 million EBITDA margin increased by 4.2pp to 40.6 % Net Profit increased by 65.5 % to QR 134 million Financial Summary The Company reported its half - yearly Net Profit of QR 134 million , representing an increase of 65.5 % year - on - year , mainly driven by higher EBITDA . Total Revenue increased by 8.5 % year - on - year to reach QR 1.16 billion driven by continued growth in the company's postpaid revenue and fixed broadband services in addition to higher handset sales . Service Revenue grew by 7.8 % to reach QR 1.08 billion . EBITDA for the period stood at QR 472 million , representing a strong improvement of 21.1 % year - on - year , positively impacted by higher Service Revenue and continued cost optimization initiatives . EBITDA margin expanded by 4.2 percentage points to reach 40.6 % . Vodafone Qatar is now serving 1.7 million mobile customers representing an increase of 3.9 % year - on - year .
