T WORDS: Ingemar Pettersson QUALISYS Seasonal Patterns, Steady Progresshe second quarter brought steady progress, consistent with the seasonal pattern typical of our institutional and academic customer base - a slower start followed by building momentum. Sales reached 54.4 MSEK, essentially matching last year's comparable period (55.7), while gross margin improved to 66.7% (65.6) and adjusted EBIT grew to 4.0 MSEK, up from 3.4 MSEK. This improvement in profitability, despite stable revenue, reflects continued discipline in our cost base and a favourable product mix.For the first half, net sales were 94.4 MSEK (114.7), with EBIT of 0.4 MSEK (9.1). This reflects a slow first quarter, with EBIT temporarily negative, followed by a clear recovery in the second quarter as delayed projects converted to revenue, a pattern we expect to repeat through the second half of the year, historically our strongest period, and a sign of the underlying strength of our business model after a slow start to the year.Order intake is steadily building as we enter the third quarter. At similar levels to the comparable period last year and consistent with the seasonal patterns we've seen in previous years, giving us confidence as we head into the second half of 2026. Regional PerformanceAPAC was a standout performer this quarter, with net sales up 18.8 percent to 20.2 MSEK (17.0). Americas held steady at 17.7 MSEK (18.2), On a currency-neutral basis, Americas net sales were flat, confirming that underlying demand remained solid. EMEA saw net sales of 16.6 MSEK (20.5) amid a challenging macroeconomic backdrop that delayed the timing of several planned projects – pipeline and customer interest remain strong, and we expect these delayed orders to convert as conditions normalize.Importantly, we see strong underlying customer interest across every region we operate in. Where we have seen delays, deals are shifting to later dates rather than reflecting a decline in demand. Converting this pipeline into order intake is our clear priority for the second half of the year.Introducing Prisma Pose, a Markerless Skeletal Tracking SolutionA major highlight of the quarter was the introduction of Prisma Pose, our new markerless skeletal tracking solution built directly into Qualisys Track Manager (QTM). It's a significant platform milestone, completing our full markerless offering.Prisma Pose gives biomechanics laboratories a practical, accessible way to track motion without markers - no additional software vendors or hardware investment required. Together with OnTraq, built for elite sport performance analysis, and our partnership with Theia for labs with more extensive solutions, Qualisys now offers a complete suite of markerless solutions tailored to each organization's needs. Prisma Pose will be available to QTM customers as an add-on license from Q4 2026. Most of the early interest comes from our existing customer base, so it represents high-margin, capital-light revenue from labs that have already invested in their primary hardware - an efficient, scalable growth lever as rollout begins.Market HighlightsOur presence at major industry events reached its peak during the summer months. At ICRA 2026 in Vienna in June, the world’s largest robotics research conference, Qualisys served as the official motion tracking provider for the Roboracer competition, delivering live tracking of up to 30 autonomous race cars using our Arqus platform. The engagement drove strong interest from the robotics research community and further cemented our reputation as the trusted infrastructure partner for cutting edge engineering applications. We also showcased our marine and engineering solutions at Oceans in Asia-Pacific, strengthening our regional foothold in this growing segment.Activity levels remain high as we begin the second half of the year. In July, we showcased live demonstrations of Prisma Pose at two of the sports and rehab´s sector key events: World Congress of Biomechanics in Vancouver and at ISBS in Loughborough, UK. We can also inform you of continued interest in our OnTraq product, and agreements with the previously mentioned target group are being signed as we speak.OutlookThe second half of the year is typically our strongest period. We remain confident in our path toward our medium-term targets of 15 percent annual growth and a 20 percent EBIT margin. A growing order backlog, together with improving momentum across our key markets, supports a positive outlook for the remainder of the year. We enter this period with clear priorities: capturing new business in emerging markets, strengthening our position where we are seeing near-term headwinds, and extending our lead where we already hold a strong market position. With macroeconomic conditions gradually improving, we expect this tailwind to further support performance in the coming quarters. We remain committed to disciplined profitability while continuing to invest in the organization to deliver long-term value.Interim Report Q2 2026 “Reaching the growth target requires a strong second half, and we believe the conditions for that are building, supported by a growing sales pipeline and improving momentum across key markets”

FOR QUALISYS, IT IS CRUCIAL to find the best solution that match each individual customer’s needs and therefore Qualisys works closely with customers throughout the course of the project. Depending on the type of movement and in which environment the customer intends to use the Qualisys’ solution, the technical offer is adapted in close dialogue with the customer. This is vital to deliver the optimal technical solution to meet the customer’s specific needs. As a result of Qualisys’ project-based business model, it is natural that net sales and operating profit (EBIT) are largely based on when customers place their orders and how long it takes to complete the order according to the customer’s wishes. Because of this, Qualisys’ net sales and operating profit (EBIT) can fluctuate relatively much from quarter to quarter depending on when orders are placed, and deliveries are carried out. The project’s time frame varies as a result of several factors, including whether the customer is of a commercial or institutional nature and where in the world the customer is based, the system’s intended application and the customer’s construction of a facility where the system is to be used. IT IS THE COMPANY’S OPINION that these fluctuations will continue to affect Qualisys’ quarterly financial development, but that the trend will continue to be positive in accordance with the company’s long-term financial goals.
