15 tons of emissions generated throughout the lifecycle of the Paraf Doğal card were offset with Gold Standard carbon credits in 2024. Halkbank continues its sustainability efforts every year by adding new projects. Paraf Doğal Contributed SDGs Halkbank has provided ₺120.1 billion in loan support to 264,345 women entrepreneurs from its launch until December 2025. The Bank stands out with a 32%* market share in the credit risk of loans extended to women entrepreneurs. Water Security Score “A-” Halkbank has developed Paraf Doğal, Turkey’s first carbon-neutral credit card. (6*6FRUH Climate Change Score “A” Halkbank has been conducting sustainability and environmental assessments for companies applying for loans since 2016. Detailed information can be accessed via the QR code starting on page 90. Our Sectoral Targets Aligned with SBTi by 2032; Reducing Scope 1+2 emissions by 50.4%. Reducing other power generation-related emissions in the loan portfolio by 73.8% per MWh. Reducing GHG emissions from the power generation project finance portfolio by 52.6% per MWh Reducing GHG emissions from the commercial real estate sector by 60% per square meter. Halkbank aims to increase the share of green investments within its investment loan portfolio to 25%. Halkbank has provided a total of ₺17.7 billion in investment loans to support 591 renewable energy projects over the last five years. IndexesRating Scores Since June 2024, Halkbank has been producing 6 tons of pet food for animal shelters by converting food waste through its “Compost Project”, implemented for the first time in the sector, contributing to circular economy and sustainable living goals. Through “Forestation Projects” in Tekirdağ, Adana, Manisa and Şanlıurfa, totaling 40,000 trees, a lasting contribution has been made to nature. By eliminating the use of plastic bottles at all service locations and implementing the “Self-Purifying Water Dispenser Project”, approximately 108 tons of plastic waste have been prevented.
