4 Executive Summary: 1H26 Business Overview Key Merger Milestones 1H26 FHC Performance 1H26 Subsidiaries Performance The merger of Taishin FHC and Shin Kong FHC took effect on July 24, 2025, with consolidation of major subsidiaries ongoing: • Taishin Investment Trust and Shin Kong Investment Trust merged on November 24, 2025. • Taishin Life and Shin Kong Life merged on January 1, 2026. • Taishin Securities and MasterLink Securities merged on April 6, 2026. • The merger between Taishin Bank and Shin Kong Bank is expected to be completed by January 1, 2027. • TS Holdings delivered a net income after tax of NT$43.8bn in 1H26 (vs. NT$10.2bn in 1H25; +329% YoY). • Book value of NT$26.28/share, EPS of NT$1.69, annualized ROE of 15.36%. Banking • Taishin Bank’s net interest income reached NT$20.0bn (+26.7% YoY), and 2Q26 NIM was 1.42% (-6bps QoQ). Total loan reached NT$2.0tn, with growth +12.0% YoY . Net fee income was NT$11.0bn (+32.0% YoY), underpinned by robust wealth management and credit card fees. Net income after tax was NT$12.4bn (+25.8% YoY), and operating expenses were NT$17.0bn (+12.3% YoY). • Combined banking net income was NT$17.2bn (+74.2% YoY), when including Shin Kong Bank’s 1H26 net income of NT$4.8bn. Life Insurance • Shin Kong Life’s net income reached NT$22.5bn, thanks to steady contributions from CSM release and recurring investment incom e. • Shin Kong Life’s FYP grew 37% YoY to NT$76.2bn, with FX policies accounting for 70.7% of total FYP as of 1H26, supporting bet ter asset- liability matching and lower hedging cost. • Pre-hedge recurring yield reached 4.19%, with cost of liability and hedging costs at 2.3% and 1.22%, respectively, supporting po sitive investment spread in 1H26. Securities • Taishin Securities reported an after-tax profit of NT$7.5bn, thanks to continued upward trends in equity market indices and active mark et trading
