5 Record 1H Earnings on Franchise Strength ◼ FFHC 1H26 net profit rose 41.9% YoY to NT$17,798mn, or NT$1.24 per share Earnings momentum broadened from the flagship banking arm into securities, life insurance, asset management, venture capital etc. First Bank posted NT$15,456 mn (+11.9% YoY), while non-bank subsidiaries contributed NT$3,071mn, lifting their earnings contribution to 15.7%. ◼ Stable Profit Growth at Life Insurance Sub under IFRS 17; Earnings of Other Non-Bank Subs More Than Doubled Driven by favorable market conditions and effective business strategies to grow non- bank subs, the securities arm posted NT$1,411mn (+373.5% YoY) for the first half of 2026, the asset management arm delivered NT$192mn (+134.1% YoY) and venture capital arm achieved NT$875mn (+749.5% YoY). Meanwhile, life insurance subsidiary grew steadily to NT$418mn. All these companies performed strongly. ◼ Bank earnings underpinned by higher NII and robust fee growth First Bank’s net revenue grew 8.1% YoY (an increase of NT$2,656mn), driven by an 18.1% increase in NII on loan growth, alongside a 23.1% rise in fee income on the back of a strong 30.5% growth in wealth management revenue, resulting from surging market and high-asset customers’ needs for asset allocation and wealth succession planning. ◼ Accelerating momentum in lending and cross-border demand Benefiting from ongoing cross-border demand amid the tech boom, total loan expanded 11.1% YoY to NT$2.95tn. FX and large corporate lending increased 25.7% and 13.5% YoY respectively. SME lending, growing 6.0% YoY, surpassing the NT$1tn milestone and maintaining its No. 1 market position. Mortgage was steady at 5.5% YoY.
