Adjusted operating income was $ 50.2 million for the first quarter of 2021 , compared with adjusted operating income of $ 39.8 million for the first quarter of 2020 . • GAAP gross margin was $ 113.2 million , or 72 % , for the first quarter of 2021 , compared with GAAP gross margin of $ 104.2 million , or 65 % , for the first quarter of 2020.
