( NASDAQ : FIVN ) , a leading provider of cloud contact center software , today reported results for the second quarter ended June 30 , 2021 . Second Quarter 2021 Financial Results • Revenue for the second quarter of 2021 increased 44 % to a record $ 143.8 million , compared to $ 99.8 million for the second quarter of 2020 . GAAP gross margin was 55.2 % for the second quarter of 2021 , compared to 57.5 % for the second quarter of 2020 . Adjusted gross margin was 63.3 % for the second quarter of 2021 , compared to 65.7 % for the second quarter of 2020 . GAAP net loss for the second quarter of 2021 was $ ( 16.5 ) million , or $ ( 0.25 ) per basic share , compared to GAAP net loss of $ ( 16.1 ) million , or $ ( 0.25 ) per basic share , for the second quarter of 2020 . Non - GAAP net income for the second quarter of 2021 was $ 16.0 million , or $ 0.23 per diluted share , compared to non- GAAP net income of $ 14.1 million , or $ 0.21 per diluted share , for the second quarter of 2020 .
