" GAAP financial results for the second quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020 : • Total operating revenues on a generally accepted accounting principles ( GAAP ) basis were $ 369.4 million for the second quarter of 2021 , up from $ 316.2 million for the second quarter of 2020 , representing a year - over - year increase of 17 % . • GAAP net income was $ 24.9 million for the second quarter of 2021 , up from $ 3.3 million for the second quarter of 2020 , representing a year - over - year increase of 657 % . • GAAP diluted earnings per common share was $ 0.45 for the second quarter of 2021 , up from $ 0.06 for the second quarter of 2020 , representing a year - over - year increase of 650 % .
