During the 2021 first quarter , the Company : " Increased net sales 11.7 percent to $ 237.4 million as compared with $ 212.6 million in the prior year quarter . Generated operating income of $ 27.8 million as compared with $ 20.3 million in the prior year quarter . Increased adjusted operating income 28.6 percent to $ 29.2 million as compared with $ 22.7 million in the prior year quarter . • Achieved net income of $ 16.7 million as compared with net income of $ 10.3 million in the prior year quarter .
