( NYSE : MWA ) announced today that for its fiscal 2021 second quarter ended March 31 , 2021 , net sales were $ 267.5 million and net income was $ 20.9 million . During the 2021 second quarter , the Company : " Increased net sales 3.8 percent to $ 267.5 million as compared with $ 257.7 million in the prior year quarter . Generated operating income of $ 33.4 million and adjusted operating income of $ 35.2 million as compared with operating income of $ 35.8 million and adjusted operating income of $ 36.7 million in the prior year quarter . Achieved net income of $ 20.9 million and adjusted net income of $ 22.2 million as compared with net income of $ 23.8 million and adjusted net income of $ 24.5 million in the prior year quarter .
