The decrease of $ 48.1 million primarily reflects cash used to fund operations , to purchase fixed assets , and to repay a term loan . • Research and development expenses were $ 13.6 million for the quarter ended September 30 , 2021 , as compared to $ 12.7 million for the quarter ended September 30 , 2020.
