First - quarter 2021 net revenues increased 13 % to $ 212 million , compared with $ 188 million in the first - quarter a year ago . Net income attributable to Sotera Health ( " net income " ) was $ 11 million , or $ 0.04 per diluted share , compared with a net loss of $ 2 million , or $ 0.01 per diluted share in the first - quarter 2020. First - quarter 2021 net income included $ 14 million of expense related to the repricing of the Company's first lien term loan ( " Term Loan ” ) , $ 11 million of which was non - cash . Adjusted EBITDA for the first - quarter 2021 increased by approximately 15 % over the prior - year quarter to $ 105 million . First - quarter 2021 Adjusted Earnings Per Diluted Share ( " Adjusted EPS " ) was $ 0.18 , compared to $ 0.10 in Q1 2020 , an increase of $ 0.08 per diluted share .
