Gross margin of 13.7 % versus 16.4 % the second quarter of fiscal year 2021 and 17.3 % in the same quarter of last year . Net income of $ 18 million versus $ 28 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2021 and $ 16 million in the same quarter of last year . Diluted net income per common share of $ 0.35 versus $ 0.52 in the second quarter of fiscal year 2021 and $ 0.29 in the same quarter of last year .
