Welcome to Explore, where we're gonna introduce you to the next generation of the Synchronoss Personal Cloud platform. Hi, I'm Jeff Miller, President and CEO of Synchronoss. As an operator, you have first-hand experience meeting the demands of your customers. You know that continuous innovation and revenue growth are table stakes. According to Market Research Future, the market for mobile value-added services will reach $309 billion by 2025. That's a 15.3% compound annual growth rate. There's no doubt that value-added services are an essential part of your strategic roadmap, and that's where Synchronoss can help. For more than a decade, we've been the leader in personal cloud solutions for global communication service providers. With our products, you can offer new and engaging experiences for your subscribers while creating new sources of revenue to contribute ARPU growth and reduce customer churn. At Synchronoss, we support more than 9 million cloud subscribers around the globe. We handle uploads of over 5 million photos per day and manage 142 petabytes of storage. We are the world leader in providing white label personal cloud solutions to service providers. Our speakers today will include Patrick Doran, Chief Technology Officer at Synchronoss, who will emphasize the significance of privacy and security in our personal cloud platform. Next up will be Natalie Wong, Vice President of our Customer Experience and Management team, to share insights from our in-depth research. Natalie will be followed by Suren Nathan, Senior Vice President and General Manager for the cloud business, who will preview the next generation platform. Next up will be Jon Novak, our user experience leader, who will share the user experience principles that drove our recent platform redesign. After Jon, Serge Verba and Amy Tainter will highlight some of the most compelling new features of the personal cloud. Finally, our Chief Commercial Officer, Chris Hill, will wrap up today's remarks talking about Synchronoss's go-to-market support for our carrier customers. Here's our CTO, Pat Doran. Thank you very much, Jeff, and hello everyone. The right to privacy and security has become more urgent than ever. Threats to data privacy make front page headlines on a daily basis, and a month doesn't go by where we don't have a congressional hearing on the topic. We believe at Synchronoss that privacy is the foundation of trust, and that over time, subscribers will gravitate toward the technology that they trust the most. Your personal data needs to be safeguarded, and the subscribers deserve to have a clear understanding of how and when it is used. This is where Synchronoss excels. We have developed a white label cloud solution that makes consumer security, privacy, and ownership front and center. Sure, there are free cloud services that will back up content, but at what level of privacy? Our operator-grade platform goes beyond basic content storage. With our Personal Cloud, you can offer your subscribers the ability to create private, customizable folders that house crucial documents like tax records, insurance documents, estate documents, real estate, trusts, and secure them all with advanced biometrics. Consumers pay their carriers today for service. It's clear who the customer is. It's in the carriers and Synchronoss' best interest to secure the data and make sure only your subscribers can access it. When consumers use free over-the-top services, they are not the customer, they're the product, and the data is being mined to the benefit of the true customers, which are the advertisers. Their motives are to glean as much data about your subscribers as possible. This is a model that Synchronoss does not support. With our carrier partners, we will always be putting the privacy of your subscribers first in our technology. Compared to free over-the-top services, we let you offer unparalleled data privacy and security to your subscribers. They get the peace of mind that they've come to expect from your brand and from our technology with features like Backtrack for ransomware protection. Bring your PC back in time if you're subject to an attack. Private Folder to house your critical documents. All these are built into our next generation cloud platform that we are bringing to market. Consumers want a personal cloud solution that protects what matters most to them and to their families, and to anticipate their needs into the future. Up next is our VP of Customer Experience Management with research insights to how we might help our operator customers anticipate where their subscribers wanna go. Take it away, Natalie. Thanks, Pat. Hi, I'm Natalie Wong, Vice President of Customer Experience and Management. Customer centricity has long been a core value here at Synchronoss. Our customer focus is placed both on you, operators and carriers, as well as on your end users. As an operator, you may offer a branded personal cloud solution as a value-added service or as part of a bundle to your subscribers, enhancing your value proposition with them. You can rely on us to understand the needs of your subscribers, to develop compelling and engaging features that subscribers can interact with, having the trust that we protect and safeguard their memories and content. To that end, we've increased investment in customer research and studies. Through this research, we set out to understand who uses personal cloud solutions, how they use it, the features that are most important to them, and to identify the needs, both met and unmet, that these users have. As a result, we identified key personas that we use as our guide to design and test our product features and usability. Each persona brings subscribers to life and enables us to put ourselves in their shoes. There are three key personas I'd like to talk with you about now. First is Andy. Andy's security conscious, and he wants to ensure that his content is safely backed up in the cloud and accessible on the go. Next is Julia, the profile of a family-oriented user who's always thinking of saving precious moments with a photo of the kids over the holidays enjoying themselves. The ability to print gifts is a bonus for this user. Then we have our social media enthusiast, Gabby, who is persistently looking for quality of interesting photos and working to uphold a personal brand with specific content. Through this research, we learned which features are most valuable and how users use our product. We made enhancements to our product and then tested the usability with users of cloud solutions. We partnered with a professor and class of students from Loyola University Maryland to test our solution and get their input. With their valuable feedback, we made Personal Cloud even better. Here at Synchronoss, we continually strive to understand users better so we can deliver engagement strategies that transform potential users into familiar, loyal promoters. As our carrier customers know, engagement drives stickiness, which drives retention, and that in turn drives growth. Now, without further ado, I'm so excited to pass you over to Suren Nathan for your first look at our new Personal Cloud. Hello. Great to be here. I'm Suren Nathan, Senior Vice President and General Manager for the cloud program here at Synchronoss. Thanks to the popularity and growth of mobile networks and devices, consumers generate a lot of personal digital content that needs to be protected and preserved, not only to provide them with a peace of mind, but also to allow them to engage with these assets whenever they need to and wherever they are. Whether it is precious photos or documents, messages or videos, they all need to be stored in a trusted environment that understands and addresses the consumer privacy concerns. Operators, as we know, traditionally have long-standing trust relationship with their customers, and therefore, Personal Cloud offers them a perfect opportunity to deliver additional value along with their core network and product offerings. It is not good enough to store the digital assets in a secure location, but this data needs to be organized, categorized in a way to allow users to search and retrieve them easily to avoid the age-old phrase, finding a needle in a haystack. Personal Cloud offers several features to seamlessly search for content no matter which device it was created or captured on. While storing and organizing this data starts the ball in motion, life's moments that have been captured in these digital assets are unlocked in the form of memories, highlights, and flashbacks from key events involving family, friends, nature, pets, travel, and more. These precious memories can be shared and printed in different modalities to help celebrate life. Personal Cloud is a comprehensive service that also supports features to unlock the creative potential of users. Using advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, users can edit, enhance photos, colorize black and white photos, and more. Let us look at a sizzle reel that highlights the new and exciting Personal Cloud offering. As you saw in the sizzle reel, Personal Cloud addresses the core needs of consumers by supporting the following key pillars. One, protect, preserve, and organize data. Two, celebrate memories. Three, connect with families and friends. Four, unleash creative potential. All of these principles have been woven into our product design. Jon is up next to tell you more about this. Thanks, Suren. Hello, I'm Jon Novak, director of product design. Today I would like to share some exciting updates regarding our cloud redesign effort. Our approach was anchored in the four strategic pillars that Suren spoke of and informed by the research we conducted. There are four key prongs of our redesign approach. One, user experience or UX vision principles. Two, a robust design system. Three, key user experiences and how they align to user needs and expectations. Four, focus and prioritization. First, let's start at the heart of the Personal Cloud redesign, our UX vision. Over the last few years, we aligned our efforts to better understand actual end users, their needs, motivations, pain points, and goals. Through our research, we have established a clear picture of how we want users to feel when they experience our application. They include motivated, it's simple and intuitive to use, secure and confident, data is protected, it belongs to the user and is private, excited and engaged, delighted to relieve precious memories, valued, user feedback is a gift, and assured, content is accessible across all their device types. Our new design system brings many fresh and exciting updates. To start, we created a modern design language library that promotes consistency and continuity, reusability, and includes typography, color, iconography, and user interface patterns. We also established voice and tone standards that are clear, concise, friendly, and empathetic, which reinforce how we want subscribers to feel when engaging with our Personal Cloud solution. We'll now shift focus to key user experiences that align to user needs and expectations. Onboarding is our first opportunity to demonstrate value and entice users, so it needs to be exceptional. For example, the value proposition must be clear and friendly. Users want full control of the type of media to backup. They want the option to skip steps, and they prefer short sequences of steps. Next up, the home and backup experience is central to our value proposition of data privacy, protection, and organization. The Personal Cloud home screen has been completely redesigned to support users like our Andy persona, who is security conscious and wants to ensure content is safely backed up in the cloud and accessible on the go. While new features are important to our users, we must also constantly improve existing features. In contrast to the current experience, Search and Explore has been redesigned to inspire users to rediscover memories through people, places, and things. Our goal is to prompt and encourage users to explore the application, reminisce, and share. Finally, our product teams are able to confidently pinpoint must-have, should-have, and could-have items by triangulating data through personas, leveraging insights from quantitative studies, user surveys, and scoring models. Through this process, we have validated our vision and influence prioritization. Now, I'll hand off to Serge and Amy to take you through a deep dive of anchor features such as shared storage, Advanced Highlights, and Genius. Hi, I'm Serge Verba, VP of Product Management here at Synchronoss. I'm Amy Tainter, Global Channel Marketing Manager. We're so excited to have the time with you today to walk you through some of our favorite Personal Cloud features. Our teams work incredibly hard to deliver features that your consumers are sure to find value in. Once we walk through them, we're confident you'll see why. I'd like to bring it back to when Serge introduced the four pillars of cloud. These are protect, preserve, and organize, celebrate memories, connect with family, and unleash creative potential. Serge, do you wanna take everyone through a feature that aligns with these pillars? I would love to. The first pillar we'll hit on is protect, preserve, and organize. A more recent feature launch, Private Folder, perfectly allows subscribers to do just that. To use Private Folder, subscribers create a custom 6-digit pin for added security to store and protect their confidential data, such as tax documents, ID documentations, receipts and policies, and secret family recipes. Our Celebrate Memories pillar is showcased through our Advanced Highlights feature. We don't just backup stuff. We use machine learning to unlock the value of your content by proactively servicing those memories. My best of the week in highlights might very well focus on totally different things than Amy's. That's fantastic. For example, delivering flashbacks and highlights of last summer's camping trip, a child's first day of school, or grandma's Thanksgiving dinner. Personalization and automation is where the industry is heading and what users are coming to expect, and this feature wonderfully marries those two. We've seen really amazing early results with this feature, drawing users back into the app week after week and month after month. The third pillar of our cloud, especially important today, connect with family. Synchronoss Cloud for Home can help deliver that unique experience from the moment of onboarding. What better opportunity to enroll a family in unlimited shared storage than when setting up their connection for the first time? With the integration of our cloud during the simple onboarding flow, setting up a family cloud can be a seamless experience that expands the relationship in the home. Last but not least, unleash your creative potential with the power of Genius. This feature has its own inspire and entertain section of the app that lets people do more with their content. The first services here, colorize black and white photos, enhance photos, and touch up faces, and there's a lot more to come. Genius expands our address audience by providing new and differentiated capabilities, thereby appealing to diverse personas. All of this culminates in the 3-year roadmap and investment in continuous improvement in our product platform. Amy, can you provide insight to what carrier partners can expect when they start working with us? Of course. Our carrier partners can expect a few things when they work with us. Our growth marketing team prides ourselves on becoming an extension of your marketing team. Whether that's with the acquisition of new subscribers or the engagement and retention of your current subscribers or a mix of both, we'll work with you every step of the way to ensure your customers are getting consistent experiences across a variety of channels. We also work to test, deploy, and analyze some of these campaigns and initiatives so that your team doesn't have to. Thank you so much for spending your time with Serge and I today. I'll pass it off to Chris Hill. Thanks, Amy. Hi, everyone. I'm Chris Hill, Chief Commercial Officer here at Synchronoss. As Jeff mentioned at the top of our presentation, we've been the leader in personal cloud solutions for global communication service providers for more than 10 years. As the team mentioned, our next generation white label cloud delivers leading-edge engagement features, supports rich operator branding, secures content, ensures customer privacy, and is accessible across multiple operating systems and devices. We also offer the flexibility in how we support you. Choosing to go to market with our standard cloud dramatically reduces the upfront capital expenses and speed to market. However, if customization is a requirement, Synchronoss also supports custom integrations into carrier systems to deliver additional personalization and value. If you're looking to enhance your existing apps, our SDK is also a great option to embed cloud features within an operator's own application. We know that operators have stringent requirements when it comes to compliance, security, and data sovereignty, so supporting these needs is paramount. We aim to accelerate your go-to-market effectiveness with the best team in the business and with scalable performance and a deployment plan that works for you. Thanks for the time. I hope you're enjoying our Explore event. Now back to you, Jeff. That was a great explanation of Synchronoss's commitment to making our operator customers successful. You don't want to miss out on the next generation of Synchronoss Personal Cloud platform. We value the opportunity to create a customized recommendation for you and your business needs. I encourage you to take the next step by contacting your Synchronoss sales representative or visit us at synchronoss.com to stay up to date on our upcoming events and to request a demonstration.
