Exhibit 99.1 S & P Global Shareholders Overwhelmingly Approve Proposed Merger with IHS Markit 99 % of Votes in Favor of the Transaction NEW YORK , March 11 , 2021 - S & P Global ( NYSE : SPGI ) today announced that its shareholders overwhelmingly voted to approve the Company's proposed transaction with IHS Markit ( NYSE : INFO ) at a special meeting of the Company's shareholders . Approximately 99 % of votes cast were in favor of the transaction .
