Reports Quarterly Financial Results 4/28/2021 -- HOUSTON , April 28 , 2021 ( GLOBE NEWSWIRE ) CBTX , Inc. , or the Company ( NASDAQ : CBTX ) , the bank holding company for CommunityBank of Texas , N.A. , or the Bank , today announced its results for the first quarter of 2021 . Robert R. Franklin , Jr. , Chairman , CEO and President of the Company stated , " During the first quarter of 2021 , our markets continued to improve as companies worked toward returning to pre - pandemic operation . Every day we see more people returning to work as businesses create healthy work environments for both employees and customers . We have seen tremendous liquidity in the system , and our deposits continued to grow through the first quarter of 2021. We anticipate that as the economy recovers , we will see more of that liquidity put to work by our customers and the bank . " Mr. Franklin concluded , " Our loan portfolio remains strong with little deferral activity remaining . " Highlights • Net income was $ 10.0 million for the first quarter of 2021 , or $ 0.41 per diluted share , compared to $ 10.2 million , or $ 0.41 per diluted share , for the quarter ended December 31 , 2020 and $ 7.5 million , or $ 0.30 per diluted share , for the quarter ended March 31 , 2020 . • Total deposits were $ 3.4 billion at March 31 , 2021 , an increase of $ 83.0 million compared to $ 3.3 billion at 1
