( NYSE : VVNT ) , a leading smart home company , today announced results for the three and nine months ended September 30 , 2021 . " I am very pleased with our third quarter 2021 results as we achieved double digit year - over - year growth in revenue , " said David Bywater , CEO of Vivint . " Our revenue growth rate was more than double the growth rate in the prior year period , reflecting the robust demand for the products and services we deliver . Many of the underlying metrics of the business showed strong improvement year - over - year as well . Our last - twelve - month attrition rate came in at 11.4 % , which was a 13 - quarter low and a 140 - basis point improvement versus the prior year period .
